Patricia E. LaSalle
Patricia E. LaSalle is the Program Manager of the Alternative Educational Programming, Inc. joining the team in 2004. Her educational background includes earning a diploma from William E. Tolman High, Pawtucket, RI, receiving an Associates Degree in General Studies from The Community College of Rhode Island, a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development & Family Studies along with a certification in Family Financial Planning and Counseling at the University of Rhode Island. In addition, Ms. LaSalle is a graduate of the RI for Community & Justice, 2008 Leadership for a Future Program. Ms. LaSalle is currently a graduate student of the MBA Program at URI earning a Master’s Degree in Finance. Ms. LaSalle is also a member of two honor societies; The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society, as well as The Golden Key International Honour Society and serves on the Admissions Committee of Community Preparatory School in Providence, RI.
Ms. LaSalle’s background and work experiences are a direct reflection of the student population she serves. As an advocate, educator, and community leader, Ms. LaSalle strives to uplift and strengthen families in urban communities underrepresented across Rhode Island.
Leo F. DiMaio
Founder and Executive Director of the Alternative Educational Programming Inc.
In 1986, Mr. DiMaio founded The College Readiness Program which serves as AEP’s main program. Since that time, Mr. DiMaio, also known as, “Mr. D” has provided applicants of color, disadvantaged youth, at-risk youth, low-income individuals, and first generation students’ with the financial resources, support services, and guidance over the years to help them attain a degree in higher learning.
Mr. DiMaio’s educational experience includes a diploma from LaSalle Academy in 1947, earning a full football scholarship to Massanutten Military Academy, in Woodstock, VA. attending Providence College, earning a degree in psychology in 1953, attending Boston University, School of Law, before completing the Master’s Program at the University of Rhode Island. Mr. DiMaio is also the co-founder of the Talent Development Program at URI which began in 1968 and since has served thousands of RI’s students from disadvantaged populations. Mr. DiMaio is a member of three (3) Hall’s of Fames and has received countless awards over the last 40 years including URI’s Lifetime Achievement for his leadership and the URI Presidential Alumni Excellence Award in 2001.
Raymond E. Gallison
Raymond E. Gallison, Jr., is the Assistant Director of AEP. His educational background includes graduation from La Salle Academy, Providence, RI, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Service earned at Rhode Island College, and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Southern New England School of Law, Dartmouth, Massachusetts. He is also a member of the Bar for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Federal District Court for Massachusetts, as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gallison also holds a position with the House of Representatives as District Rep for the city of Bristol.
