Recognizing the tribulations of disadvantaged families through the College Readiness Program, founded in 1986, we currently offer resources and opportunity servicing four student populations:

1
. Elementary
2. Middle School to High School
3. Minority, disadvantaged, at-risk students entering higher education
4. Middle Adulthood entering  or re-entering into higher education

AEP will offer students resources, services, classroom experiences, out of classroom assistance, and mentoring to assist them with obtaining an adequate education. In addition, AEP recognizes the importance of addressing peer pressure, self-esteem, self-awareness, self-betterment, family discord (divorce, domestic violence) comprehension, studying skills, substance abuse, bullying, gang related activities, and the lack of an appropriate role model.

The Programs AEP will utilizes to achieve its goal include Middle School to High School Transition, and The College Readiness Program. The outcome sought by Alternative Educational Programming Inc. is for students to attain a college degree, for their own.
